This assessment is based on the same risk factors and symptoms I evaluate in my patients every day.
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Â
âś“ You're doing everything right, but the scale still won't budge.
âś“ You lose a few pounds... then gain them right back.
✓ You're constantly tired—even after a full night's sleep.
âś“ You crave sugar or carbs, especially in the afternoon or evening.
âś“ Most of your weight settles around your stomach.
âś“ Your energy crashes after meals.
âś“ You've been told your labs are "normal," but you still don't feel like yourself.
âś“ You've started wondering if your metabolism is just broken.
Â
If several of these sound familiar, you're not imagining it—and you're certainly not alone. These are some of the most common patterns I see in women with insulin resistance. The first step toward lasting change is understanding what's really happening beneath the surface, so you can finally stop fighting your body and start working with it.
WHY INSULIN IS OFTEN THE MISSING PIECEÂ
Insulin is the primary hormone that determines whether your body is in fat-burning mode or fat-storage mode.
Â
AND THIS APPLIES TO EVERYONE — NOT JUST PEOPLE WITH DIABETES.Â
Â
Your body has two primary fuel sources: glucose and stored fat. Although your body can use either one for energy, it will use available glucose first.
When you eat foods that raise your blood sugar, your body releases insulin to help move that glucose into your cells to be used for energy. As long as insulin levels remain elevated, your body has a much harder time accessing stored fat for fuel.
When insulin stays elevated too often or for too long, your body spends less time in fat-burning mode. That's one of the biggest reasons weight loss can feel so frustrating—even when you're eating healthier, exercising consistently, and doing everything "right."
That's why understanding insulin matters—and why this free assessment can help you determine whether elevated insulin may be your missing piece.
WHY SO MANY WOMEN HAVE ELEVATED INSULIN—AND DON'T EVEN KNOW IT
Most women assume that if they had a problem with insulin, their doctor would have found it.
Unfortunately, that's often not the case.
Over time, your body's cells often become less responsive to insulin. As a result, your body has to produce even more insulin to keep your blood sugar in a normal range. This is called insulin resistance.
The surprising part is that blood sugar and A1c can remain completely normal for years, even while insulin levels continue to rise.
Because fasting insulin isn't checked during most annual physicals—or often ever at all—many women are told their labs are "normal," even though elevated insulin may already be affecting their metabolism.
That's why so many women spend years blaming themselves—trying yet another diet, exercising harder, or assuming it's just part of getting older—without realizing there may be a completely different explanation.
It can help you determine whether elevated insulin may be the missing piece you've been looking for.

Sometimes the biggest breakthrough isn't finding another diet—it's finally understanding what's been missing.
Hi, I'm Michelle.
FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER • HORMONE AND METABOLIC HEALTH PRACTITIONERÂ
Three years ago, when I began specializing in medical weight loss, I started noticing the same pattern over and over again.
Women came to me feeling frustrated because they were eating healthier, exercising, and trying everything they could think of—but they still couldn't lose weight.
When I began looking deeper into their lab work, one finding kept showing up: elevated insulin and undiagnosed insulin resistance.
Once I explained what was happening, I heard the same response again and again:
"That makes so much sense."
"Why has no one ever told me this before?"
The simple answer is that, in many cases, no one is looking for it.
Traditional medicine often waits until disease develops before treating it. My training in functional medicine taught me a different approach: identify the root causes before they become disease and address them early.
Over the past three years, I've watched patients transform—not just by losing weight, but by gaining energy, improving their health, and finally understanding what was happening in their bodies. One of the most encouraging things about insulin resistance is that it can often be improved—and even reversed—with the right approach.
I can't personally sit down with everyone who's struggling, but I can help more people understand what I see every day in my practice.
That's why I created this free assessment.
My hope is that it helps more people finally understand what may have been holding them back, so they can begin taking the right steps toward lasting health.
You deserve answers. And sometimes, all it takes is finding the missing piece.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FIND THE MISSING PIECE
Every journey is different, but here's what happened when these women finally found answers.
"I've tried so many weight loss programs before, only to gain the weight back each time. Now I'm down 42 pounds, and I feel better, stronger, and I'm sleeping better too."

Sharon
"Since starting Michelle's program, I have more energy, I don't get hungry as often, and I've lost over 30 pounds. I highly recommend giving it a try!"

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. This assessment is an educational tool designed to help you identify common signs and risk factors associated with elevated insulin. It is not intended to diagnose insulin resistance or replace medical advice from your healthcare provider.
What happens after I complete the assessment?
No. This isn't a meal plan or another list of foods to avoid. It's designed to help you finally understand why your body has been fighting against you and what simple changes can help turn your fat-burning switch back on.
Can insulin resistance be reversed?
In most cases, yes! Through nutrition, lifestyle changes, improving sleep, increasing physical activity, and, when appropriate, medications or supplements, insulin resistance can often be significantly improved—and sometimes even reversed. The earlier it's identified, the easier it is to address.
